A Message from Emma

My name is Emma, and I have been working with natural wool fibers and needle felting for more than five years. My journey into felt pet portraits began with my own two cats, Luna and Milo. As they grew older, I found myself wanting to create something by hand that could preserve a tangible trace of their presence—something I could see, hold, and keep close.

Working in felt gave me a way to study the small, personal details that make an animal familiar: the distinctive marking around the eyes, the gentle tilt of the ears, the subtle gradient of a coat, or an expression that speaks volumes to the person who knows them best. What began from my love for Luna and Milo gradually connected me with pet owners around the world.

Why Handmade Felt?

Unlike flat prints or digital renderings, needle felting is a tactile, sculptural medium. Natural wool fibers are carefully blended and compacted needle by needle. The resulting piece projects from its setting with organic texture, subtle shadows, and dimensional warmth that changes beautifully with viewing angles and daylight.
